Communication Organizations


There are many organizations available for Communication Professionals.  I have selected five that I would be interested in joining or at least inquiring about would be the associations that help empower women in business and in their professional fields.

1. Association for Women in Communications (AWC)- A professional organization that champion the advancement of women across all communications disciplines by recognizing excellence, promoting leadership and positioning it member at the forefront of the evolving communications era. www.womcom.org/ . By joining this organization it will allow me to network with other professional women in the field of communications.


2.  Association of Communication Consultants. (APCC) is a network of consulting professionals providing communication expertise and solution to clients in business, government, and nonprofit organizations? By joining this organization I would have opportunities increase awareness in the field of communications.  As the APCC offers its members full access to article, blog, sample documents and links to useful websites for continued growth. www.consultingsuccess.org/


3. Public Relation Society of American (PRSA). The largest community of public relations and communication professionals. I would expect by joining the organization a wide range of opportunities. The PRSA is the most targeted source of public information for your chosen field in Communications. Being a member of this organization, you can build on your professional network and enhance your professional career.  www.pra.org/  


4.   The National Communication Association (NCA).  One of the oldest scholarly speech associations in the United States.  This not for profit organization helps its members by supporting their professional interest and their overall mission is to promote the importance of communication in public and private life. As a member my focus would be to seek opportunities that will improve the quality of human life and my relationships with others.  www.natcom.org


5.   The Society of Technical Communication (STC).  This non-profit organization is committed to the promotion of all aspects of Technical Writing. As a member of this organization, it will allow for the best access to technical writing communication. This will not only enhance my professional career me up to an entire network of professionals and opportunities for continual growth in the area of technical writing. www.stc.org/
